Important notes on using Lumiz
The plastic tab on the solar module must be removed vertically and not torn off at an angle. This prevents a piece of plastic from remaining between the battery and the solar module. Upon purchase, the battery is not fully charged. Once this power is consumed, the battery must be charged by placing/hanging the solar module in direct sunlight. After charging, you can test if the LED light works by placing your hand over the solar panel. If you want to hang the LUMIZ in a tree, make sure it is not directly under the leaves. This prevents the solar panel from receiving insufficient sunlight. This also applies to covered areas. Under optimal conditions, the LUMIZ can burn for 6-8 hours with 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. In summer, the lantern will burn longer than in other seasons due to the higher sun position and longer days.
