Important note for Lumiz use
The plastic tab on the solar module must be removed vertically, not torn off diagonally. This prevents a small piece of plastic from remaining between the battery and the solar module. Upon purchase, the battery is not fully charged. Once this power is depleted, the battery must be charged by placing/hanging the solar module in sunlight. After charging, you can test if the LED light comes on by placing your hand over the solar panel. If you want to hang the LUMIZ in a tree, make sure it is not directly under leaves; this prevents the panel from getting enough sunlight. Under optimal conditions, the LUMIZ operates for 6-8 hours with a charging time of 6-8 hours in direct sunlight. In the summer, the lantern will glow longer because the sun shines more often, but even on sunny winter days, the LUMIZ will glow, although the glow time will be slightly shorter.
