Please note when using Lumiz
The plastic tab of the solar module must be removed vertically, not torn off diagonally. This prevents a piece of plastic from remaining between the battery and the solar module. Upon purchase, the battery is not fully charged. Once this power is consumed, the battery must be charged by placing or hanging the solar module in sunlight. After charging, you can test if the LED light is on by placing your hand over the solar panel. If you hang the LUMIZ in a tree, make sure it is not directly under leaves. This prevents the panel from receiving insufficient sunlight for proper operation. This also applies to covered areas. Under optimal conditions, the LUMIZ will illuminate for 6-8 hours after 6-8 hours of charging in direct sunlight. The light intensity may decrease after 5-6 hours. In the summer, the lantern stays lit longer due to more hours of sunlight. The LUMIZ also works on sunny winter days, although the burn time will be slightly shorter.
